Collaboration with Universities

Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions has nurtured close ties with universities for many years. The aim of our active participation in educational development is to supply a new generation of trained specialists in Hungary.

Budapest

 In addition to multi-level cooperation with rural universities, we are also actively present in higher education institutions in Budapest with one-off and regular guest lectures, participation in professional days and roundtable discussions, and the presentation of our job opportunities. Debrecen

There has been successful cooperation between Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions and the University of Debrecen since the formation of the DT-ITS service center in Debrecen. As a result of constant joint professional work, in September 2009 informatics specialization was launched, offering the opportunity for students not majoring in IT but with language skills to get special IT training.

A new milestone in cooperation between the University of Debrecen and Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions was reached in January 2011 on the establishment of an Affiliated Department of ICT Systems Operation. Its aim is to improve the standard of training particularly for students majoring in IT engineering, software information technology and business IT, as well as to improve practical knowledge and core competencies required on the practical side.

As a result of a three-party agreement in January 2018 between the city of Debrecen, the University of Debrecen and Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions, our cooperation was given a more effective institutional framework.

University of Pécs

Cooperation with the University of Pécs started in 2012. Until that point DT-ITS only worked together with the Pollack Mihály Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, but from 2013 the company opened towards all areas in which language or IT courses are arranged (Faculty of Humanities – Faculties of German and Sciences – IT business studies). Tangible proof of the success of this initiative is that in the first year four Train-IT courses were held in cooperation with the Pollack Mihály Faculty.

DT-ITS signed a long-term agreement on cooperation with the University of Pécs and Pécs Local Government on 13 March 2013. The aim of the agreement is to make university education more competitive as well as to launch several jointly-organized teaching and research projects. Within this framework our company offers students professional work experience opportunities and several traineeships, furthermore, we will play an active role in the extension training of university lecturers and the scientific work of students. Under the terms of the agreement with the university, DT-ITS also sponsors several other university events.

University of Pécs, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology / DT-ITS Department

University of Szeged

As part of the joint cooperation with the University of Szeged, we actively participate in the Cisco training of the TTIK Institute of Informatics, and as a result of our joint work with the Faculty of German Studies, students also learn business communication. Since 2019, we have also been present at the university in IT education. DT-ITS has also had a close relationship with the municipality’s ‘Infopólus’ organization for many years, mainly on expansion and site issues.
