Legal basis and definition of data processing

Data processing through the website is carried out in the legitimate interest of the data controllers. It is the legitimate interest of data controllers to process the personal data detailed below for the basic, optimal operation of the website and the security of the IT system. The controllers have carried out the necessary balancing test for the processing and found that it does not constitute a disproportionate restriction on the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subjects. The website contains links that point to other websites. The data processing of such external websites is governed by the privacy statement of that actual website.

Scope of processed data, purpose of data processing

During the use of the website the IP address of the user is automatically registered, the type of the operation system and the browser that is being used as well as other information. These data are continuously logged but they are not linked to any other data. These registered data are exclusively used by the data controllers for the purpose of website visit analyses and to collect statistical information.

When you visit our site, so-called cookies (or “cookies”) can be placed in your browser. They store information about the relationship between the user and their web server, allow to monitor the efficiency of the site, the functionality, the errors and the number of visitors, and support to increase the user experience, which is also the purpose of data processing. By default, processing information about user habits related to cookies is for statistical purposes only.

The data logged and the collection of cookies from user habits are solely for statistical purposes. The user is free to decide on the cookie settings used by the website during the first time of the visit. Data controllers use Google Analytics to analyze website traffic for statistical purposes. Google is a U.S. based company that may transmit the visitor’s IP address to third country (United States) in order to provide the service. To avoid this, in line with european data protection recommendations, the data controllers use a proxy server to avoid any direct contact between the Internet user’s terminal and the servers of the analytics tool (in this case Google) and preventing the re-identification of the person by Google.

By default, processing information about user habits related to cookies is for statistical purposes only. The user is free to decide on the cookie settings used by the website during the first time of the visit and finds the list of the used cookies and their duration. The data logged by the Data Controller and the collection of cookies from user habits are solely for statistical purposes.

Logged data will be stored for 6 months from the date of logging. These data are eligible for the Chief Security Officer of DT-ITS and to the appointed staff of the data processor who are responsible for the operation of the website.

Transfer of data, data processing, data security

The personal data obtained by the controllers shall not be transferred to third parties – save in cases specified by the law. Transfer of personal data can only take place in compliance with the relevant laws or the consent of the data subject, as set out therein.

Our companies take all necessary measures to ensure the security of the personal data during network communication and data storage. Companies of Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Hungary strive to protect these data from unauthorized access, alteration, transfer, publication, deletion, incidental destruction or damage. Data is being stored on servers located in Hungary.

Rights of data subjects

You may request from the Data Controllers access to your personal data, detailed information about the data processing, or correction of the data, limitation or deletion of the data. You may object to the processing of personal data and have the right to data portability. Your request should be forwarded to the Data Privacy Officer of the companies.
