Specialization in Debrecen

From September 2009, all students of  the University of Debrecen can select a specialization launched by the IT Faculty with the support of Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions. The specialization (Network Solutions) is worth 20 credits and can be completed in two semesters.

When drawing up the syllabus both DT-ITS and the university considered it important that those taking  a specialization should not be required to have background knowledge of IT, and that the course should be a marketable, competitive and practice-oriented training. One condition of successful training, however, is proficiency in German and/or English which is tested as a final part of the application procedure.

Those who pass the final exam will gain expertise that will make them eligible to join Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions without further corporate training programs.

The training, announced by the Faculty of Informatics, does not provide a student status but ends with a final exam and will be attached to the diploma. The training must be completed before obtaining the diploma.

Networks syllabus: introduction to IT, computer architectures, office, network basics, operation systems, Cisco, ipsec/vpn, communications practice, WAN technologies.
