Internship

Successful fellows of the Elevator Development Center took a one month internship in the partner IT Services Hungary. They spent 20 working days at the Control Tower for Communication and Collaboration Services. It is a Global Delivery Unit within the department of IT Operations of T-Systems, the main task of which is operation of systems (servers, applications, platforms etc.) for approx. 60+ clients of the corporation. The pool of clients includes: Daimler J , BP, BAT, Strabag, EON etc. The number of users of the Communication and Collaboration Service (CCS) exceeds 1.2 millions.

Janka and Patrik along with Janka’s personal assistant spent the month of May in the city of Debrecen, where a branch of IT Services Hungary is seated. They both have evaluated the internship as a pleasant, useful and motivating experience. The working team they were integrated in was very open and hospitable. It has created atmosphere and opportunities for a meaningful internship.

Since both fellow have visual impairment, the hosts were expected to create suitable conditions for work and stay in the IT work environment. The conditions created were beyond their expectations and thus they could focus on collecting experience in working for a global corporation. The corporation already employs a few employees with disadvantages.

Upon completion of the 1 month internship the 2 fellows were assigned a task to complete, while consulting it online with team members of the Global Delivery Unit, IT Services Hungary.
